Toileting Tricks
For you, the object of the toilet teaching process is to get your child to use the toilet somewhat
skilfully.
Your child may have other priorities right now - like demonstrating her competence with crayons or learning to ride a tricycle.
That's when some creative distractions can work, as these parents found
Retain diapering routines
Keep some of your diapering routines when you're toilet training. For instance, use baby wipes instead of toilet paper, which can be too rough.
Smooth on some lotion if your child likes it. Play with him or her - reading or something - just as you did when you diapered your child.
I think the biggest mistake parents can make is to leave a child on the potty while you go about your business because the child will learn that the potty is no fun

Offer a reward
Though I'm generally not in favor of bribing my 30-month-old daughter, I made an exception when it came to toilet training.
We had had a great time visiting an amusement park about an hour away from home and she was begging to go back.
I told her that if she tried to use the toilet and went a whole day (not counting naptime) dry that we would go back.
The very next day, she stayed dry. To keep my end of the bargain, we went to the park, as promised, the day after that.
She's been dry every day since.

Use pull-up diapers
I let my son wear pull-up diapers. (They are like underwear but offer a diaper's protection.)
After this was successful for a few weeks, he graduated to regular underwear
