Doll dresses from old socks
My three-year-old daughter, Jessica, wanted new dresses for her dolls because she decided that they were all getting married! Since wedding clothes weren't in our budget, I was inspired to make her dolls gowns. I rummaged through her drawers for white socks with lace, bows or beaded trimmings that were missing their mates. I then cut off the toe, sewed a hem and made spaghetti straps from the leftover straps within 20 minutes. All my daughter's dolls had one-size-fits-all wedding dresses!
